While hunting around one of my hard drives I came across some pics I took ages ago of a friends old hood ride VW, so I figured I might as well post them on Flickr and here.

Its a 58 small window beetle (only made for 1 or 2 years, the rear window is between the oval and the normal big rear window beetles) and was running a 1200 single port, beam adjuster tweaked for maximum low and the rear spring plates were heavily notched to let it go down 3 splines

I’m still not much of a writer, but lets see if I can get this blog working this time!

Since my led balloon post I have covered the 10th annual classic car rally that was hosted here in Gisborne from the 21st to the 27th of March, which to me was a good learning experience and has highlighted my need to learn more about batch image editing since 6 hours shooting was followed by 20+ hours of editing each individual photo!

I am also on the verge of being published in a well respected NZ magazine, but I will leave that for another post once it has happened!

Well it seems this blog is about as popular as getting teeth pulled with no anesthetic!

Anyway I figure I might as well post up a couple more pics even if no one is looking at them lol

Since I just can’t be ass’d going out to shoot any new pics tonight, I figure I might as well post some more photos here lol

And finally a sunset I shot last week

Those of you who know me will know that blogging isn’t something I would normally consider, hell I hardly know what to do with my facebook page!

Anyway I started this blog thing so I could have somewhere to show my photo’s, at the moment I am shooting with a Canon EOS 1000D DSLR with the kit 18-55mm IS and 75-300mm lenses + a “nifty fifty” 50mm f/1.8, yeap kinda far from pro gear I know!
I am aiming at picking up a 7D and some better glass as soon as funds allow but I’m not sure when that’s going to be lol

Now lets see if I can get some pics in here…
